Seaside holiday cottage in Scotland

Stunning Dunnottar Castle must be one of Scotland's most filmed visitor attractions. Locals have almost become nonchalant as movie stars such as Mel Gibson, Daniel Radcliffe and James McAvoy seem to drop in regularly to film the latest blockbuster. Well if it's good enough for the cream of Hollywood, it's certainly good enough for us. We picked a bright and breezy spring day to visit. ​ A huge seagull made a flying visit to the Lucken garden this week, no surprise there I hear you cry! But this was no ordinary gull, this was Stephen Seagull (get it?), the newest addition to our entertainment equipment at the cottage. We hadn't flown kites since we were small and just couldn't resist this one. It was great fun. Just like riding a bike, you never forget how and it transported us back to our carefree childhood days.
