The Lucken has been accredited by the Visit Scotland “We're Good To Go” Scheme and Cottages.com “Safer Stays” initiative. This requires specific arrangements and cleaning methods to make your stay as safe as possible. You can find out more at :
Contact free entry : One of the real pleasures in operating a holiday cottage is meeting guests however we are obliged to provide contact free access to the cottage by using a key safe.
Cleaning regime : This meets the requirements for both the “We're Good To Go” and “Safer Stays” schemes.
Mattresses and bedding are sprayed with a virucidal solution and fresh mattress , duvet and pillow protectors (that have been laundered at high temperatures) are used on the beds.
We have removed items that are difficult to clean such as books, games, ornaments and some decorative soft furnishings eg bed throws, some cushions.
All soft furnishings are treated with a virucidal spray and we wash all our linen at high temperatures. Cushions that have been retained are disinfected and swopped out.
We disinfect all likely to be touched surfaces and all of our floors. (it's a bonus having wooden floors throughout). We also wipe clean all skirtings, doors and door jambs with disinfectant.
Sanitising hand gel is provided within the property and at the key safe.
Some “must haves” have been retained including binoculars, radio, umbrella and hair dryers. These are very carefully sanitised.
Our welcome pack only contains items that have been thoroughly sanitised.
All utensils, crockery, glasses, and cutlery items are machine washed and checked before replacing into cupboards.
