Steven Flies Again!

Since we opened The Lucken for business we've had visitors from far and wide, but the last couple of bookings were positively local. Two couples from Blairgowrie and Banchory visited us. While the winter weather doesn't lend itself to long leisurely lunches on the terraces, it provides a dramatic backdrop for cosy evenings by the wood burner and perhaps a game of scrabble or just frittering away the hours with a good book. There's nothing nicer than hearing the wind roar and the waves crash when it's snug inside and a bottle of Rioja is warming by the fire.

The blusterly winds have been good news too for Steven Seagull, The Lucken's resident kite. Great fun was had I'm told flying him on the beach!

We even managed to sneak a weekend away at The Lucken ourselves recently. It's very important to check that everything is in order for our guests, well that's our story and we're sticking to it! Next week we are looking forward to welcoming our first overseas visitors. We'll keep you posted!
