Some Enchanted Evening..

Spring has definitely sprung at The Lucken. We've enjoyed some lovely sunny days, interspersed with the odd flurry of snow and blustery winds. Scotland, four seasons in one day! Our most recent guests travelled from the Central Belt for a week getting away from it all. They sampled the delights of the But N Ben's menu and their groaning sweet trolley. They also stumbled across another sweet tooth satiating delight when they visited the Strathmore Arms in Glamis. The unashamedly calorific and aptly named Snowball Mountain. Three of Tunnocks best Snowballs, topped with a sticky sauce, cream and ice-cream. Not for the slimmers amongst us, but well worth the calory overload I'm told! The icing on the cake of our guests visit to Angus was a display of the Northern Lights. A spectacular sight lighting up the horizon at Auchmithie.

We managed a sneaky weekend away at The Lucken ourselves recently and enjoyed our first glass of wine of the season out on the terrace. Here's to many more!

Cheryl & Nick.
